Fungi Finder

Design, Concept, Execution

Have you ever wandered through the forest and spotted a funky looking doo-dad? Sometimes they’re slimy, sometimes they’re fuzzy and a lot of the time they don't look like they're from this planet. Look no further for a reliable mushroom identification app that fosters a shared appreciation for all things fungi.

This app allows users to upload images of the fungus in question and provides the user with the approximate name and information regarding the mushroom. The app is not a place for users to find and identify edible mushrooms. It serves an academic purpose for those who are interested in learning more about mushrooms.

In order to begin this project I gauged my potential audience by proposing a handful of user scenarios (attached below). I anticipated their needs and ensured that the first version of the app would at least take the most predictable audience into account.
